Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of Rose Achain Temple, wife of Edgar Temple, holding a cat in front of an unidentified residence, ca. 1930s. Mrs. Temple wears a sleeveless light-colored dress and black shoes and is crouched on a sidewalk, holding the multicolored cat in her hands. Part of the porch to the house, which appears to be a bungalow is in the background. The shadow of a person is in the lower left foreground and Mrs. Temple and the house are partly shdowed by trees or some other obstacle to the sun's light. It cannot be discerned if there is a wedding ring on Mrs. Temple's hand, which would help date the image, because she was married to Edgar Temple in 1932. On the back center is an oval stamp with the words "ANDERSON / Photo Service / EL MONTE" within, and the number "1" is stamped at the lower right. Except for some light discoloration on the edges of the reverse, the artifact has little indication of wear or damage and is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
