ROSE BOWL SEASON TICKET CARD FOR WALTER P. TEMPLE, 1928
A Rose Bowl season ticket holder pass (a) with envelope (b) issued to Walter P. Temple, 1928. The pass has the venue name and city, date, and note of "Permanent Seat Lessee's Card" at the top. In the center are fields for pass holder's name and address and seat, row, aisle, and tunnel numbers. At the bottom are numbers indicating event numbers attended. On the reverse is the pass number (85), instructions on the use of the card; and a countersignature from H. W. Hall, the secretary-manager of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association. In poor condition, the card has surface scratching, causing parts of the paper to be torn off; fading of ink; stains; major discoloration; and separation of the front and reverse faces from a cardboard-like backing to which they were affixed. The envelope, on stationery of the Association, has that entity's name and address at the upper left; the postmark at upper center; the addressee's name and address at center; and the stamp, which is missing, was in the upper right corner. In poor condition, the envelope has the opening tear at the right; many creases; a fold along the top; a variety of stains; and major discoloration.On the envelope in pencil is the number "163" at upper center left. Walter Temple's San Gabriel address "P. O. Box 116 / San Gabriel, Calif." is crossed out and written in pencil beneath it is, "1210 Security Title Ins Bldg / L. A." On the card in blue ink is Temple's name and San Gabriel address, seat number "1"; Row or "Box 12"; Aisle "A"; and Tunnel "18". H. W. Hall's signature is on the reverse.Lexicon
