Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of a rose garden adjacent on the west to La Casa Nueva, ca. 1941-42. The photographer stands beneath a tree [note the branches at the top left] and behind one of the adobe planters, with some flowers and a sprinkler head in the planter. There are a few dozen rose bushes visible, going back to the west side of the Mission Walkway in the background. A large tree is in the right background, as well. At the reverse upper right, in pencil, is the inscription "#21," while at the center, in pencil, is the number "10." Other than very light discoloration, the artifact is in good condition.
