ROUND SHAPED CAMPAIGN PIN FOR HERBERT HOOVER, CA. 1928
Color: Blue; Red; White
A round stick pin promoting the candidacy of Herbert Hoover for President, 1928 or 1932. The pin has a tricolored front with red at the top, white in the center, over which the last name of the candidate is in blue capital block letters, and blue on the bottom. On the bottom of the blue section is a stamp of the printing trades union that did the printing, while on the edge just below this is the name of the manufacturer, Bastian Brothers of Rochester, New York. The manufacturer's name and place of business is also embossed on the reverse. The metal stick pin is soldered to the inside of the reverse and the point extends 1/4" out beyond the diameter. Other than some tarnishing on the reverse and on the stick, the artifact is in good condition.
