A negative of a black and white photograph of the Rowland house, ca. 1980. The two-story brick home is in the center behind an arbor with white pillars. At the bottom center, two steps lead to a porch with plain balusters and handrails on the far left and right. Portions of a door are on the wall at center and windows on the far left and right. Columns with capitals at the top are on either side of the porch and extend up to the top of the second floor balcony. With plain balusters, the balcony also has a handrail across its front. In the wall at the rear of the balcony is a door and three shuttered windows. On the far left and right of both floors are shuttered windows. Capped by a pavilion roof, the home has dormers on the top center and far right. On the right background are trees and a wall of the kitchen addition with a door and window. At the left is a utility pole and a car parked in the distance. Across the foreground is a lawn with concrete paths on the far left and right, a fountain in the center, and a boulder-lined chain-link fence. With no signs of wear, the image, which has a corresponding print in 99.5.11.249, is in good condition.
