Description

ROY SELDON PRICE TO THOMAS W. TEMPLE II, 27 NOVEMBER 1924 Color: Black; White A letter from Roy Seldon Price to Thomas W. Temple II, 27 November 1924. The four-page missive is on a heavy flecked paper with rough cut top and bottom edges. At the top left of the first page is the embossed stamp of architect Price, with his name, profession, and mention as a member of the American Institute of Architects. The letter details the progress of La Casa Nueva, which Price had begun overseeing that year. Price informs Temple of plastering and wood carving work and noted fifteen itemized areas of completion. He also talked about completion of heating components and gave suggestions as to other details of the building. He also refers to a sketch Price did of a wall in the library, which sketch is item number 34.2. Reference is also made to difficulties between the architect and Walter Temple. He also refers to potential furnishings and a recent dinner, Ince, his wife, and mother had at the Temple home. Other than some very lighter edge browning, a small stain at the lower left, and some creases, overall condition is good.
