A cabinet photograph of the Rubio car of the Mount Lowe Incline Railway, 1899. The image shows about thirt-five persons, including a conductor in uniform, posed in and next to the car, the name of which is on the front. In the background is a building at the terminus of the line. A pencil inscription on the reverse describes the railway and provides the date. With edge wear, such as abrasions, to the mount edge, and some soiling to the image, the condition is good.
