The item, issued in a four-part series (the rest are also in the Museum's collection), has an introduction, content on vitamins and minerals, and general directions and points about salad and vegetable making before listing dressings and a variety of salads; seasonings and sauces for vegetables, as well as recipes for soups and chowders; tips for shopping via the market basket; a dictionary or glossary; and an index, as well as blank pages for notes. With staining at the bottom through the publication, bumping, stains and soiling to the wrappers, and some soiling to pages, the condition is fair.
