San Gabriel Dam project, presumably by Ernest B. Gray, ca. June 1929. Though not identified, the image came with a series labeled by the photographer for the project and this view is from one side, apparently the west, of San Gabriel Canyon, looking across the river and its adjoining beds, to a railroad depot/siding where there are cars and, on the lower part of the western slopes buildings for the construction crews. Right of center water is applied to an area showing demolition in photos 8 and 12. The photo needs flattening and has creases and light soiling, but is in good condition.
