"San Gabriel Dam Project, No. 10," Ernest B. Gray, 11 June 1929. The view is taken from one side, apparently the east, of San Gabriel Canyon and looks over, in the foreground, the buildings for crews from contractor Fisher, Ross, MacDonald and Kahn, Inc. The river and adjoining beds, near which are other structures, runs along the center and the opposing slopes and more of the canyon are above that. Identification by Gray is at the lower left and right (a white band is across part of it) of the photo, which needs flattening and has creases and soiling and staining, as well as an edge tear at the lower left, so is in fair condition.
