"San Gabriel Dam Project, No. 14," Ernest B. Gray, 15 June 1929. The view shows a steam shovel scraping part of a mountain side in San Gabriel Canyon and dumping dirt into the open bed of a truck, this work done by crews from contractor Fisher, Ross, MacDonald and Kahn, Inc. Identification by Gray, including a black ink line, is at the lower left of the photo, which needs flattening and has creases and light soiling, but is in good condition.
