"San Gabriel Dam Project, No. 15," Ernest B. Gray, 15 June 1929. The view shows a steam shovel dumping dirt into the open bed of a truck on a narrow road along the slopes of the mountains in San Gabriel Canyon, with workers on the slope as well as near the vehicles, this work done by crews from contractor Fisher, Ross, MacDonald and Kahn, Inc. Identification by Gray is at the lower left of the photo, which needs flattening and has creases and light soiling, but is in good condition.
