Color: Black and white
A black and white photograph of Santa Clara University, which then included a prepatory school, dated 16 October 1929 for printing. The image was taken at night. From left to right are: a three-story Mission-Revival building; a Mission-Revival church that may be the restored and rebuilt Mission Santa Clara; and another three-story Mission-Revival structure resembling that at far left. A few palm trees at night obscure the building behind it. Because of the darkness little else is visible. The photograph may have been taken by Edgar Temple or Walter P. Temple, Jr. who attended the university in the 1929-30 school year. On the reverse, hand-written in pencil at the top right corner, is "Santa Clara High & College." At the center reverse is a stamp reading, "WEBBS / OCT 16 1929 / SAN JOSE." With a crease at the upper left corner; Three acid stains and general surface soiling on the reverse; and light discoloration, the photograph is in fair condition.
