"Santa Claus in Camp," from the cover of "Harper's Weekly," 3 January 1863. The image shows Santa sitting on a sleigh distributing gifts to Union Army soldiers at a camp, which is decorated with an arched banner reading "Welcome / Santa Claus" next to a large American flag. In the distance is more of the hillside camp, including tents, service members and other details. This object is the cover of the 3 January 1863 issue. With edge tears, creases in the top right corner, water damage in the bottom left, light foxing and soiling, the condition is fair.
