Description
A photo album page with two photographs, one of a general view of Santa Fe Springs oil field and the other of a portion of that field, ca. 1924. The general view shows derricks in the distance behind a plume of black smoke, perhaps from a well fire, and, in the foreground, dense trees and water, perhaps San Gabriel River. The other view shows many derricks in a fairly flat, dry landscape. Both are accompanied by captions in white pen. With soiling and, on the general view, a torn corner and a tear at the upper right, the condition is fair.
