A sample book of finish colors from the Satin-Tone Eggshell Finishe line offered by the Bradley Wise Paint Co., ca. 1920s. Printed by Bowles Publishing Corporation of San Francisco, the front cover has, at the top, a colorful illustration of residence's dining room. Below this is the product name, while at the bottom is the company logo at the top of a black-bordered blue background panel, within which is the company name and locations. On the back cover is the company logo of a painter in a can of Bradley's paint and the motto "SERVICE IN EVERY CAN" within a black circular border below. Under this is space for a distributor's sticker, but the space is empty. On the inside front cover is a statement about the product and its use for interiors and benefits and advantages. The next two panels has the product title, under which is the color assortment, including ivory; cream; light gray; mellow gray; light green; turquoise blue; tan; orchid; light blue; and canary yellow. The samples are adhered to the pages with the title "BRADLEY'S FLAT WALL FINISH" and a thin piece of glassine is part a and separates the color samples from the opposite page so they will not be damaged. The last panel gives directions for use on new work, old walls, wood surfaces, and covering capacity. With only a few creases, very light soiling, and some cover edge wear, the document is in good overall condition.Lexicon
