Color: Black, brown
A ruler, ca. 1930, issued by the Sawyer Furniture Company, Covina, California. The 3' long wooden device has on one side the measuring points in eighths increments from left to right with each inch marked off by a numeral. Below this, from left to right, reads: "Electrolux Refrigerators"; "SAWYER FURNITURE CO."; "Phone: 22191"; "COVINA"; and "R C A Victor Radios and Records." On the other side the measuring points are from right to left and below this, from left to right, is: "Visitors Welcome"; "SAWYER FURNITURE CO."; and "Furniture - Lamps - Rugs - Carpets - Linoleum - Window Shades." Both sides have fairly extensive fading of ink; abrasions and dents, especially on the edges; and some stains, so the artifact is in fair condition.
