2013.409.1.1Description
A real photo postcard, "Scene on Los Angeles Ostrich Farm, Los Angeles, Cal.," ca. 1915. The image shows a man carrying a handled tool and with a metal container on a strap over his shoulders walking through a large pen containing about a dozen animals. In the background is some fencing, trees, structures and the top of a streetcar with "Grand Ave" partially visible on the top sign. Some bare hills are in the distance, as well, near the Eastlake/Lincoln Park location of the farm. With small stains at the top left, finger smudges on the reverse, and moderate rubbing, the overall condition is good.Lexicon
