State Printing,) 1885. The work consists of extracts from the Political Code, Penal Code, and statutes from 1873 to 1885 dealing with public schools and including material on the state board, superintendent of public instruction, school districts, teachers' institutes, schools, pupils, teachers, district libraries, school taxes and general and miscellaneous provisions. Appendices include the members of the state board, a list of county superintendents of schools, the 1879 state constitution and an index.
