Description

"Scientific American," 25 May 1912 (Vol. CVI, Number 21.) The journal of popular science features a front page illustration of a massive section of pipeline along the nine-mile siphon through steep grades in a mountain for the Los Angeles Aqueduct. A one-page article inside summarizes the project, which was approaching completion, and compares it to the Catskill Mountain Aqueduct for New York City's water supply. There are two images showing construction of the aqueduct siphons. With some creases, light edge browning, edge rubbing, and light soiling, the condition is good.
