A photograph of a section of the wing structure of a biplane in flight, 23 September 1928. Visible is the top horizontal wing and the connecting supports and wires. At the top margin is the ink inscription "Wing of Plane of Stew's 1st ride" while at the bottom is "Theo's 1st ride also 9/23/28." At the left margin is the inscribed number "147." On the reverse is a stamped number "02" at the bottom right corner. Other than slight yellowing, there is no wear or damage to the image, which is in good condition.
