"See Europe in 1928," a travel pamphlet issued by The First National Bank of Pasadena, 1928. The front cover has the title at the top and a photograph of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris at the center. The bank name and city of business are at the bottom. On the back cover is a form to send to the bank requesting other travel booklets and giving the prices of the respective tours offered therein. At the bottom left is the form number and issue date of February 1928. The 15-page document describes fourteen package tours, ranging from a budget to more expensive price. Each is at least five weeks in duration and scheduled for the summer months. Prices, cities and countries visited, dates, and types of steamship accomodations are provided. There are also several photographs of famous European locales. On the inside back cover are "OTHER EUROPEAN TRAVEL SUGGESTIONS" and a description of American Express travelers cheques, which, while not mentioned, were likely offered by the bank and reason for issuing the pamphlet. A pencil inscription "17" at the lower right corner of the front cover, very light surface soiling, and a few creases are the only indications of wear or alteration and the artifact is in good overall condition.Lexicon
