"A Selection of Brick Fireplaces and Artistic Wood Mantel Pieces," catalog number 17-26, issued by the Colonial Fireplace Company, 1926. The softcover 29-page artifact has a red-line border on the front cover with the title, company name and place of business, catalog number, a four-petaled design in red, and a drawing of a fireplace within it. The back cover has listings for two products, a damper and electric grate. A color insert, on a smaller sheet than the rest of the pages, is at the front of the catalog with examples of tiles, including some Batchelder tiles, and brick. the first full-sized page has an introductory section and index of brick fireplaces and wood mantels. Information on these two product types follows, with statements on building a fireplace and modifying existing designs. Product descriptions include dimensions, material types, and model numbers, but not prices, which are on item 1.2 [there is no date in the catalog, but one on item 1.2.] Most are accompanied by photographs or drawings of the items. Pages 22 and 23 are affixed together at the top by an unknown substance.
