Description

SET OF TWENTY-ONE JAPANESE LANTERNS FOR SANTA CLAUS XMAS TREE LIGHTING OUTFIT Color: Blue; Red; Gold A set of twenty-one Japanese lanterns from a Santa Claus Christmas tree lighting outfit, 1928. The lanterns are very thin metal and are very fragile. They have three rows of red, blue, and gold "petals" arranged in a circular pattern and are designed, apparently, to fit over the light bulb on the string to add an exotic "Oriental" effect. Because there are no instructions on how to use them, this is conjecture. Most of these are creased or have bent edges and some edges are missing. While some are in better condition than others, they are in total poor condition.
