Description
Seven men standing at the Sanitary Oyster and Fish Company stall, Los Angeles Produce Market, ca. 1910. Five of the men are directly in front of the sea food wholesaler's counter at stall 6 with the company name and stall number on a placard hanging from a support pole. At the right are two men in white coats standing next to displays of produce at stall 5. To the left is the L.D. Garden Company at stall 5 and there are other stalls further in the distance. The structure is a warehouse building with large open entries, at the top of which are chain link gates on tracks. There are numerous inscriptions on the back with names, addresses and a refernce to the market at the 130 section of south Central Avenue. With edge rubbing to the mount, a slight marginal loss not affecting the image at the top, and some soiling on the reverse, the condition is overall good.
