Description
Sheet music, “The Hen and the Cow (It’s Only a Dream of the Past),” lyrics by Irving Caesar and Alfred Bryan and music by Geo W. Meyer, published by Jerome H. Remick and Co., 1920. The front cover has an illustration of a young woman in a field wearing a red and white bonnet with a matching dress. A hen is perched on a wooden fence and a cow stands behind it. The lyrics lament a rural farm life that it contends has been lost to the past. The back cover shows an advertisement for sheet music for "I'll Bring a Rose" by Richard Coburn and Vincent Rose. With minor discoloration/stains, minor loss, minor edge wear, minor to moderate tears, and minor creases, the object is in good to fair condition overall.
