"Show Me The Way to Go Home/I'm Sitting on Top of the World," Hank Frye and His Hotel Virginia Orchestra, Catalog Number 1131, Sunset Record, Los Angeles, ca. 1925. The 78-rpm recording has a maroon label with a graphic of a sun setting over hill and a forest. The song, dance type, artist, surname of writers, name of vocalist in refrains, catalog number and the notation "Made in California U.S.A." are also included. Sunset Records, evidently a subsidiary of the Hollywood Record Company, began producing records in late 1924 with an exclusive arrangement to sell through the Kress chain of stores and closed in 1926. With scratches, soiling and label wear, the overall condition appears to be good.
