Description
A photograph of a sidewalk and buildings along a downtown street in Los Angeles, California. ca. 1900s. The image shows some one-story commercial buildings in the foreground and larger ones behind, with signs indicating a vegetarian cafeteria and another at the right for a closure sale due to the building's demolition. Pedestrians ply the sidewalk and there is the handlebars of a bicycle at the lower left foreground as if the photographer was on the bicycle. Street lights, power poles and wires are also of note. With mirroring, darkening, pieces missing from the top and bottom, minor warping, abrasions on edges, and foxing, acid burn, and soiling on the reverse, the object is in good condition overall.
