A trade card for Sierra Madre Villa, ca. 1880. The card has a lithograph of the resort, with the two-story hotel at left, a two-story residence built by William Cogswell at the right and the Sierra Madre (San Gabriel) Mountains in the background. On the reverse is a description of "Cogswell's Sierra Madre Villa" giving the amenities of the resort by lessee William P. Rhoades, Cogswell's son-in-law. With some stains, creases and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
