Description
A real photo postcard, "Signal Hill Oil Fields: Showing the New Field in the Distance," ca. 1920s. The image looks down upon dozens of derricks, tanks, sheds and associated structures as well as plumes of steam rising from many places. The caption is written over the lower right portion of the image and includes the name and address of the photographer, but the cursive writing is small and hard to read as far as the name of the photographer is concerned. The unused card has slight paper curvature and very minimal soiling and is in good general condition.
