Color: Black, silver
A silver-handled metal sharpening steel, ca. 1880s. The item, part of a set with items .1 and .2, has silver metal ends on the handle with an intricate floral design featuring flowers, leaves, and branches. In between is what appears to be leather with beaten marks. The sharpening section is pointed at the end and is six-sided. Once owned by Lucille C. Workman, the piece was donated by her granddaughter. With tarnishing and scratches on the metal and some fading on the leather section of the handle, the piece is in good condition.
