Description
A snapshot photograph of Silver Lake reservoir and the Moreno Highlands subdivision, Los Angeles, 1926. The image is taken from one side of the reservoir, which fills the lower half of the photo. In the distance are graded areas on a low hill, which is the subdivision, created by the film actor Antonio Moreno and his wife, Daisy Canfield Danziger, daughter of a Los Angeles oil producer (their home in the tract is 2008.329.1.1.) There are also a few homes closer to the reservoir. A photo album caption is included and reads "Moreno Highlands, Los Angeles, named after the movie star. Antonio Moreno." With dented corners, residue in those locations, and soiling, the overall condition is fair.
