Color: Black; White
A black and white photograph of the Pio Pico Gallery site, 8 November 1976. The construction foundation of the building is in the center of the image. Planks forming the girder and bridging of the frame can be seen across the front and to the far left. Steel rods stationed vertically in a square form are located on the southwest, southeast, and northeast corners; these are the supports for the pillars around the gallery perimeter. In the foreground is dirt marked with several tire tracks going in different directions. A chain-link fence is across the background with the Pump House and Water Tower behind on the center left and right. The pump house has wood paneling, a window on the south wall, and a door on the east wall; a pitched roof caps the structure which has a square turret on the south side. To the right is the Water Tower which has double doors on the first floor, and two arched windows on the second floor, one on the south wall and the other on the east. The tank deck on the second floor with the pavilion roof over it is in disrepair. Trees are in the back of the buildings and to the left, where they partially cover the entrance to La Casa Nueva's Mission Walkway. On the back bottom right corner is a stamp in black ink crediting Duane C. Alan as the photographer and providing his business information. Two identical images are included in the collection and are in good condition.
