Description
"Sixteen Thousand Pigeons and their model apartment houses on a great pigeon farm, Los Angeles, Cal.," Underwood and Underwood, 1904. The view shows a large number of the birds on the roof of and openings to individual "houses" within a long gable-roofed structure, as well as with shorter stacks of "dwellings" in the foreground at the farm along the Los Angeles River just north of Griffith Park. On the reverse is an essay about the farm. With mount curvature, yellowing at the top and edge rubbing, the overall condition is good.
