Description

SMALL BOY WEARING A SOMBRERO NEAR A HOUSE IN LOS ANGELES Color: Black; White A photograph of a small boy standing on the top of a column at the corner of a low wall in front of a house, Los Angeles, ca. 1900. The boy wears a black suit, white shirt, a white item on his shoulders, and a straw sombrero. Behind him is a large palm, possibly a sago palm, tree, which obscures most of a white one-story house. The corner lot has a fairly large lawn around the house. In the foreground are small sections of the wall and sidewalk near where the boy is standing. The image is partially faded or under-exposed. On the back, left of center, is the number "162" while the number "0" or letter "O" is at the upper right corner. With some light soiling and creasing on the reverse, as well as the aforementioned material on the front, the item is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
