Description

SMALL HANDTOWEL WITH PURPLE EMBROIDERED ORNAMENTATION Color: Purple; White A white cotton hand towel with embroidered ornamentation, ca. 1920s. The piece has, on the exposed side when folded, open work with what is probably a vine, leaf, and flower design. Above this, in purple embroidery, is a design of flowers with an apex at the center and with three sets of flowers trailing off on either side. On the opposite end, which is underneath the exposed side when folded, is a single pierced line with the piercing forming triangles. An unused item, the artifact has no damage or wear and is in good condition.
