Description

Snapshot of flooded streets, South Los Angeles, 29 March 1925. The flooded streets are at Figueroa and Manchester and show with up to perhaps a foot of water with automobiles moving through the scene. A woman sits on the hood of the car with a fishing rod. Stores such as the Richfield oil station are seen in the background with the American flag raised. The intersection now includes two shopping centers, a fast food restaurant and a gas station on the corners. With minor warping and soiling, it is in good condition.
