Description

SOUTH CURTIS AVENUE, ALHAMBRA, CALIFORNIA, CA. 1920S A black and white photographic postcard of South Curtis Avenue, Alhambra, California, ca. 1920. The street is at center lined with large palm trees, planted in a grass area between the street and sidewalks. At the lower left and right corners, Spanish-colonial revival style pillars with small tiled, gabled roofs, arched openings and small wooden fences ending in smaller pillars are placed at the street entrance. It is difficult to see the homes, but apparent that this is a middle-class residential tract. The unused card was published by the Central Drug Company in Alhambra and made by The Albertype Company in Brooklyn. Purchased from HM volunteer Bill Stone. In fair condition with creases and dents on edges and corners, discoloration, and very light staining on both sides. None
