Description
SOUTH SIDE OF THE ORIGINAL WEST WALL, EL CAMPO SANTO
Color: Brown; Green
A color polaroid photograph of the south side of the original west wall, El Campo Santo, ca. 1979. Taken from the northwest, the view shows the wall from the entrance gate and its southern pillar, at far left, to the southwestern corner of the wall, at far right. Though it is possible some restoration work may have been done by then, the absence of the metal balls at each small pillar indicates that restoration may not have started. In the foreground is the newly laid Pio Pico Walkway, while a dirt area between the wall and walkway has one tree planted but no grass set in yet. At far left are trees and shrubs inside the cemetery. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition.
