Description

Color: Black; White A black and white photograph of the southeast wing of the Workman House, 1940. The photographer stood in the courtyard to the south and slightly to the west (note the plants in the foreground.) The plaster on the south and west facades has significant damage, so that in several places toward the bottom there are exposed bricks. The shelf below the triptych window also has much plaster missing. The wood elements seem discolored and there is ivy growing on the roof on the east side of the wing. Note at left, a small portion of the wooden enclosure of the south porch, including windows. At right is a grass lawn and the east driveway. On the reverse upper right is the pencil inscription "45% / 2A / Terri," while at lower left is the black pen inscription "-12 - 165 / 15 - 180." These, evidently, are instructions for reproduction. With little indication of wear or damage, the artifact is in good condition. Number-Units: 1
