Description
"Souvenir of the San Gabriel Mission taken on the Tilton Trolley Trip, Los Angeles, California," 23 July 1904. In view are several dozen persons seated on benches, standing on Mission Drive or on the front of the car, a small portion of which is at the far left, in front of the old church's belfry. A window at the west end of the church is at the right and a portion of the adobe rectory at the left. Palm trees are also in view. At the bottom is an inscription on the negative reading, "1st Car, July 23, 1904." The photo is pasted down in a paper folder with the title above printed on the front. With a vertical fold and creases on the photo, and the fold, edge abrasions and a few small stains on the folder, the overall condition is fair.
