A stereoscopic photograhs of "Spanish Dagger," O. E. Tyler, Los Angeles, ca. 1880s. The image is taken in an area of scrub and a gently rolling topography, perhaps in the Tujunga area or near San Gabriel Canyon. At the center is the plant, also known as the mound lily or yucca (yucca gloriosa.) The title is written in ink at the lower left and a date of 2-23-46 is inscribed in pencil on the back. With some staining, soiling and rubbing, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
