Description
Spanish soldier characters from the Mission Play, San Gabriel, Stagg Photo Service, ca. 1920s. The view shows the group of eleven men standing on a dirt area next to fencing and a wooden building that may have been the Playhouse. The actors are dresed in costumes of Spanish soldiers, though the one closest to the camera, wearing a feathered hat and cloak may have played a governor of California. The photo studio label is on the reverse. With tape residue, an edge tear at the right and a torn upper right corner, the condition is good overall.
