"Spanish Songs of Old California," Charles F. Lummis, collector and translator, accompaniments by Arthur Falwell, published by G. Schirmer (Incorporated), New York, 1929. The songbook, the eleventh in the company's "American Folk-Song Series," includes an essay by Lummis called "Flowers of our Lost Romance: about the fourteen songs and his view of their importance as artifacts of the past and a note by Falwell in a similar vein, both being from 1923. The scores then follow, while on the back panel is a list of the other twenty-six titles in the aforementioned series. With a creased lower right corner throughout, soiling and rubbing on the wrappers and clean pages, the overall condition is good.
