"Spring Street, North -- Los Angeles, Cal.," published by Griffith and Griffith, Philadelphia, ca. 1890s. The view, taken from the middle of the street shows one to three-story commercial buildings on both sides of the street, with horse-drawn conveyances on the street and some pedestrians on the sidewalks. The number "242" on a painted advertisement on the side of a building at the right indicates the location as between 2nd and 3rd streets. With heavy soiling, some stains, and curvature of the mount, the overall condition is fair.Lexicon
