Description

STANDARD OIL COMPANY OF CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL PLAYER DECAL, 1926 Color: Blue; Red; White A decal of a football player issued by Standard Oil Company of California, 1926. The item has a round shape in a blue background with, in red, the phrase "WILD TO GO" at the top. A cartoon image of a football player with one arm extended and the other tucking a football under the arm, while the legs are extending and feet partially displayed over the circular edges of the object, covers most of the decal. At the left and lower left is a copyright date and the company's name. The decal is still adhered to the paper it came with. With creases on the paper, some soiling to the decal, folds on the backing, and some pencil marks on the decal, the overall condition of the artifact is good.
