Description

PHOTOGRAPH, STEAMER "CATALINA" AT AVALON HARBOR, SANTA CATALINA ISLAND, ca. 1920. The view shows the steamer docked and with passengers gathered at the bow. On the smokestack is a logo with the letter "W" denoting "Wrigley," and indicating that the photo dates to 1919 or afterward, when Chicago chewing gum magnate William Wrigley, Jr. bought the island. Aside from a part of the dock at right, there is a small water craft at left. Aside from a upper right corner crease, there appears to be little wear and the item is in good condition.
