Piano - grand, a) six foot "Steinway" with three legs, simple molding, fluted detailing, bracket-like block feet on castors; b) bench - hinged top, straight legs, block feet. From information provided by the manufacturer in October 2000, the instrument was made on 13 July 1923 and delivered to Sherman Clay in San Francisco, five days later. The piano, which has the serial number 217764, is a Model O grand in a mahogany finish.
