A business reply card issued by Straus & Schram, 1920. The brown paper artifact has red and black printing with words across the top of the front that read, "POST CARD FOR FRIEND / GOOD FOR BIG, FREE CATALOG." At the left of the center is a drawing of the catalog and at the right are blank lines for the customer's name, address, and nearest post office. At the top left corner of the back is a circle within which are the words, "Postage / Will be Paid / by / Addressee." At the right corner is another circle with the words, "No / Postage Stamp / Necessary / If Mailed Before / Dec. 31, 1929. At the center is a rectangle with the words, "BUSINESS REPLY CARD." Below this is the first class permit number postage information. At the center of the bottom is the company name and address. The card was found in the catalog which is item .1, along with an order blank .2, and a return envelope .4. With a slight darkening of the paper and a crease at the top right corner, the object is in good condition.Lexicon
