Description

Street level view of a parade, downtown Los Angeles, ca. 1901. The image, taken from one side of a broad street, shows horse riders in formation. Lining the thoroughfare are throngs of people, with many others looking from building windows or from roofs. There are many American flags, Chinese-style lanterns, and red, white, and blue bunting decorating buildings, floats, and wires across the street, but no identification as to the event, date, or specific location. On the reverse is a stamp for credit to the Great Western View Company. With some creases, edge bumping, and light soiling, the overall condition is good.
